How do I sign up? Do I need a license?
Simply apply for a free account with your relevant details online.
You will need to read, understand and agree to the license by ticking the box on your shapers application. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email or telephone call from SBT.
What do you recieve in a SBT system pack?
1 off SBT system, 1 off SBT decal, four sticky barcode labels, and a instruction card for customers to attach to your finshed product.
How are deliveries made?
Orders arrive, within fourteen days depending on your country and location and are normally couriered signed for deliveries.
What Information can Shapers add to the SBT System?
Boards serial number, blank type, model type, board dimensions, fin system and customer, and personal message.
How does a Shaper or Retailer make a security check on a surfboard?
Retailers and Shapers can check the status of a board with an SBT implant using the surfboard search facility. At no cost.
Who needs scanners?
Shapers can use scanners in the factory for inventory checks during manufacture, This gives the manufacturer control over their production. Scanners are not essential for retailers.
Can my customers insure their new board with SBT?
SBT allows your customers to activate their SBT system and automatically insure their new surfboard and protect it from theft for a whole year. If stolen a claim for a like for like replacement can be made which you will supply.
Who supplies the replacement board?
You do.
Who pays the shaper for the replacement Surfboard?
Lloyds settles the shaper for the replacement board directly.
Who delivers the replacement surfboard?
Shaper arranges collection and delivery of replacement boards with and confirms delivery with SBT.
